Primarily a visual artist working with range of modalities Emma uses mark making (imagery), movement, writing, installation, photo and video to extend and expand personal meaning. Moving with engagement and curiosity, she uses symbolism to highlight formation and connection, particularly between humans and the natural world.
Her practice explores pattern and ways of being, in both nature and domestic routine. She is interested in motivating sustainable futures, the gestures and movement that support growth as well that which see’s mutation and change.
Emma works to build connection through creativity in both society and the individual, her art suggests alternate realities, as both a form of meaning making and social dialogue.
