Isabel Nina Young

Born creative, Isabel Nina Young is a Melbourne-based screen printer and surface designer, specialising in textiles and pattern making.

A Studio Textiles and Design graduate of RMIT University, she practices out of her Melbourne studio. Isabel makes her patterns using linear and gestural brushstrokes that are inspired by native botanical riches and the Australian suburban landscape. Textile construction and decoration are thoughtfully designed, with a commitment to slow fashion, to create timeless, usable, art. While her output is focused on screen-printing and textiles, Isabel also works in ceramics, weaving, bookbinding, natural dyes, basket making and wool spinning.
