She is the most powerful representation of the Shakti energy, the feminine. Together with Shiva, they form the binary principle of the universe. Source of all the Mahavidyas (group of tantric goddesses), She is the fearless and terrible Dark Blue Goddess of destruction, the fierce slayer of the demons and the creative Mother of the universe.
The worship of the Goddess originally comes from the wild tantric traditions but she also plays an important role in other Hindu traditions and stories including Buddhism. In one of the stories, she appears out of anger from the forehead of the Goddess Durga who is fighting demons. She wears a mala made of enemies’ skulls around her neck and sometimes wears their arms too around her waist. In many traditions, Shakti energy is said to be more powerful than the masculine Shiva, which is why Kali is often portrayed dancing or standing on Shiva or on her enemies.
But she is not only a dreadful warrior. She is Time, She is the Cycle, bringing death and life to the world, destroying the evil and clearing the path for new beginnings. She represents Tapas, the destructive and purifying inner fire. You can feel it burning in your legs and lower body, turning your ego into ashes and awaking the feminine Kundalini energy stored in Muladhara and Swadhisthana chakras.
She is the tough mum of the Universe and the posture itself portrays childbirth. If you are a mamas-to-be or already a mother, practice like a Goddess! Activating Muladhara Bandha and thus toning the pelvic muscles, the posture strengthens the whole lower creative abdomen, opening the hips and firming the legs.
And whoever you are, do not fear the Goddess, let her guide you and embrace the posture. Overcome your fears through it, release the old that no longer serves you and make some space for a new inner creative potential. Trust the caring Goddess, she knows how to reach your true Self.

At QVWC SHOP! we pride ourselves on our quality products and customer experience. We are happy to offer you free returns for change of mind on all full priced items within 30 days of purchase.
If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Perishable items including food and cosmetics are unable to be returned.
To complete your return, please provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase directly back to the maker / artist / manufacturer.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery, may be granted a partial refund or store credit based on our discretion.
REFUNDS
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale or markdown items are not applicable for a refund due to change of mind.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS
In the unlikely event of a faulty or damaged item we will offer to replace the item(s) depending on stock availability. If replacement item is not available a refund will be issued. Please return your faulty item to the store, or for online orders please contact us at shop@qvwc.org.au to resolve the issue.
GIFTS
If you would like to return something that was bought for you as a gift, we can offer a store credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift voucher will be emailed to you.
RETURNS POSTAGE
To return your product, please mail your product to: QVWC SHOP: 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000, Australia.
You will be responsible for paying shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary, however we will endeavour to process your order within 3 working days of receipt. If you are returning something to us please email us at shop@qvwc.org.au to let us know to look out for the parcel that is on its way.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
