Treekid

Treekid is a Melbourne based ethical kids clothing label designing unique and colourful garments that will adjust as your little ones grow.

Treekid's story began when Chilean-born Carla Risco left her career in engineering and set off with a no return ticket around Asia and Oceania. Through her travels she discovered the horrifying damage our actions are doing to the planet, and so climate change quickly became a real concern and a top priority in her life. The current lifestyle of the majority of the world’s population is very much driven by consumption. This gave Carla the ambition to look for and create an ethical and sustainable children's clothing label that cares for people and planet, focusing her practice on reducing the impact that fashion has on society and the environment. She believes that taking care of every single step in the supply chain is fundamental to achieve sustainability.
Carla's son Leon, was the inspiration behind TreeKid.

Carla is constantly seeking to implement new solutions by choosing better and sustainable choices in the selection of its fabrics, manufacturing processes and distribution.

Treekid garment design is based on three important statements:

NO NASTY CHEMICALS, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ZERO WASTE.
