Emily Mulvihill is an artist, maker, painting conservator and ceramicist. She wears many hats and has established a made-to-order botanical dyed clothing line called em+M Studio.

em+M Studio combines Emily's love of sewing and natural dyeing to create clothing that are exciting to wear and flattering for the female figure, no matter their body size or type.

Emily completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School, Darlinghurst, and a Masters in Cultural Materials Conservation from Melbourne University. As well as designing and making clothes, Emily is an accomplished painting conservator with an impressive resume. She recently returned from living in New York City where she worked at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Here she was fortunate enough to work on some prominent paintings from art history by artists such as Andy Warhol and Umberto Boccioni.

To balance the precise, fine, delicate work of a painting conservator, she also pursues a ceramic art practice where she responds to the clay and makes forms that almost build themselves. In her practice, she is not afraid to get dirty and make mistakes. Emily is motivated by creative pursuits, revels in the process, and enjoys seeing what they create.
