Sam Petersen

Sam (you/yours) is a visual artist, writer, and performer exploring identity and the tensions between the playful and the political. Sam's work is rooted in disability, examining access to spaces, minds, and opportunities. A Queer power wheelchair user, Sam uses AAC to communicate and often works in installation, claiming space and inviting audiences into Sam's world. Sam lives and work by the Birrarung on Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung Country, acknowledging the land remains stolen.
