Second Stitch is a not-for-profit social enterprise that celebrates the unique skills, traditions and stories of refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum.
Second Stitch produces the most beautiful hand-made gifts in their Coburg studio. All items are all designed, cut and sewn in house from new and up-cycled fabrics.
Second Stitch also works to provide accredited training in Certificate III in Clothing and Textile Production, giving people an opportunity to engage in long term training and skill development.
They also run 'Open Seam', which are free weekly community sewing days, welcoming people of all ages and experience levels to come together and spend a day in their light-filled studio, working on projects, sharing skills, and connecting with friends.
