Through multilingual and multicultural toys, books, and games, Small Fires empowers diverse creatives from around the world while contributing to both social and environmental impact.

The enterprise was founded by two change-makers: Paty Galán and Grace O’Hara.

Paty, a designer and published author from Mexico City, brings a deep passion for children’s education and storytelling. For her, Small Fires is a way to help build a kinder, more empathetic world.

Grace, originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, is a multi-talented creative and the resident over-communicator at Small Fires. For her, the project is a way to create meaningful impact - rethinking not just what businesses make, but how they operate.
