By Maja Amanita and Jackie Littlejax

The feminist poetry of Maja Amanita paired with original artwork by Jackie Littlejax, printed on a cotton tea towel.  This delightfully subversive collaborative art project brings women artists, poets and designers together to express how they are brave in this world.

The project was led by Maja, and brought together 4 Melbourne women poets, 1 West Australian woman poet and Melb / Townsville / Cairns artists together to design this range collaboratively.

Size and materials

The tea towels are 700mm x 500mm, made of premium cotton & designed and printed in Australia by women.
Cold wash first. No softener or bleach. Warm iron on reverse.

About the Author

Maja Amanita is a writer, poet, comedian, educator, event host and spoken word artist based in Gimuy/Cairns. She draws inspiration from social and environmental injustice, often using dark humour to heal. Previously published by Meanjin, Admissions (Upswell Publishing), Antithesis, and for the stage at Theatre Works, Melb. Maja recently produced and wrote the award winning, poetic short film ‘Medusa’ (‘Women in Film and Television’, ‘Best Experimental film’ Understory Film Festival 2025). Currently she is working on her first poetry collection and her first novel engaging themes of female solidarity and justice.

About the Artist

Jackie Littlejax is a graphic designer and mother of two girls, based in Far North Queensland. She is inspired by nature and guided by curiosity. She loves thoughtful details, meaningful collaborations and supporting community. When she's not designing, you’ll usually find her swimming in creeks, going on adventures, woodworking or immersed in another hands-on creative project. Gentle by nature, big in spirit, she believes the best ideas come from connecting with people and creating with purpose.
