What do you make?
I make a range of all natural products for skin, hair and home, with a focus on using local Australian ingredients that are vegan and certified organic, with plastic free packaging.
Where and how did you learn your craft?
I am entirely self taught, I learned to formulate my creations the hard way with hours upon hours of getting nerdy about cosmetic chemistry on the internet, many experiments, many failures, and much determination to make genuinely awesome, effective cosmetics. I perfected my formulations with a combination of rigorous research and creative thinking.
Tell us something special or unique about your creative process?
My preference for using local ingredients has in part dictated what I can make, but I love learning more about all the unique ingredients that are native to Australia, their chemical properties and how they have been used for generations by First Nations people before European invasion, and am often inspired to create what I do by my botanical research.
Who are some of the women in your life that inspire you the most?
My best friend, who continually teaches me about being a better person, stronger, calmer, wiser, a better listener, and more compassionate to myself and others. She’s a true gem and I am blessed to know her. I’m also grateful for the many other awesome female friends in my life who each are constantly inspiring me to grow, as well as my beautiful boss-babe aunties both here and in Greece, where my family comes from and where I am lucky to have so many special connections.
