PLACING YOUR ORDER EARLY HELPS OUR SMALL TEAM:

Ordering your bulk & corporate gifts 1-2 weeks ahead of when you need them assists us to manage stock levels and support the workloads of our small batch makers.

As we source many of our products locally thorugh our network of small business partners, bulk orders may incur a lead time of 5-10 business days to fulfill.

ORDERING

Can I order online?

Yes. Ordering via our online store is the simplest way. You will receive order updates and order tracking details via email.

Can I visit the store and order in person?

Of course! We're happy to assist you in store with your corporate and bulk gifting needs. Just ask one of our friendly team. Please note, the boxes are only prepared once your order is placed. There will be a wait time regardless of ordering instore or online.

When will my order be ready?

We aim to process your order within 48 hours of receiving.

For large orders please allow 6-12 business days for processing & fulfilment. As we work with many small businesses we may not have bulk quantities in stock and will work quickly to source and fulfil the items for your order. You will be updated with an estimated delivery date within 2-4 days of placing your order.

You will receive updates when your order is fulfilled and posted and will be able to track your order via Australia Post.

I want to order multiples of a gift bundle but the website won't allow me to select the quantity - what do I do?

Our website will allow you to select only what is currently held in stock. If you would like to order a larger quantity please email us SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU to arrange.

Can I swap one of the items in a gift bundle?

We've curated our gift bundles to make choosing the perfect gift simple, but if you'd like to create a custom gift bundle please email us SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU and we'll be happy to assist.

I want to send gifts to multiple recipients - can I order them all together?

Yes! Place one order online and add a note at the checkout that the gifts are going to multiple recipients and we'll follow up via email requesting further details. If the gifts need to be posted to different addresses we will need to charge you additional postage for each parcel.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We offer digital gift cards starting from $25. For multiple gift cards to multiple recipients please email us SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU with further details so that we can arrange each receipient to be emailed their voucher code.

Can I add a card from my organisation or include my business logo on the gift?

Definitely. Please email us SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU quoting your order number and your custom request and we'll be happy to help.

Can I just email you with my order info?

Sure. Email us your order enquiry to SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU and we'll be happy to assist. Please title the email ATTN: CORPORATE GIFTING for a prompt response.

PAYMENT & POSTAGE

Can you send me a tax receipt

Sure, We'll send a tax receipt to the email address listed on the order.

Do I need to pay via creditcard or can you send me an invoice?

if ordering online we will need a creditcard payment to process the order. If placing a customer order we will invoice you and payment will be required in full prior to dispatch

What are your payment terms?

Payment is required in full prior to your order being dispatched. Please email us SHOP@QVWC.ORG.AU if you have any questions or concerns.

Do I need to pay postage for each gift bundle?

If the gifts are being delivered to one address then you will pay one postage amount. If the gifts are going to separate addresses then postage will need to be paid for each parcel.

How long will it take to receive my order?

I’m sending a gift – will you remove the price tags? 

All price tags are removed from online orders before sending. There’s nothing worse than wondering if your beautifully wrapped gift still has the price on it. 

How will my gift bundles be wrapped?

We love to gift wrap and take great pride in ensuring our gift bundles (and all our products) are beautifully presented. Check out the product page for an idea of how your gifts will look. Each gift will be sent with a note card (where you can add your personalised message) and a postcard explaining a little about QVWC SHOP and the impact your gift creates. All packaging is paper based and recyclable. Some repurposed bubble wrap may be used for delicate items to prevent breakages in the post.

Can I add a special message to the recipient in my order? 

For sure! We can add a handwritten note to your order for the recipient – just leave us a note in the comments section at the checkout.

If you're sending gifts to multiple recipients please email us the details to SHOP.QVWC.ORG.AU quoting your order number and we'll be happy to arrange this detail.

Can I pick up my online order from the store? 

Yes. We offer click & collect from QVWC SHOP during our opening hours.Simply select CLICK & COLLECT at the checkout. You will receive and email notification when your order is ready for collection.

Can I pick up my ‘click & collect’ order outside of shop opening hours? 

If you are unable to get into the store during our opening hours it may be best to choose our shipping option. If you are wanting to pick up an order on Monday when the shop is closedwe can arrange for you to collect your order from the QVWC management office. Please email us shop@qvwc.org.au to arrange.

You say that you are ‘For Women, by Women’. What does that mean? 

QVWC SHOP exists to showcase and support women (cis, trans and non-binary inclusive) entrepreneurs here in Victoria. We stock over 100 local artists, designers and makers, and our team all women. 

When you say ‘Women’ – does that mean cis women only? 

We aim to create an inclusive community, so when we say 'Women' we're talking about cis, trans and non-binary folk comfortable in Women's spaces.

What does the QVWC in QVWC SHOP stand for? 

QVWC SHOP stands for the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre Shop. You can find more about the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre here. 

What is the QVWC? 

The Queen Victoria Women’s Centre is an iconic Melbourne landmark that supports women (cis, trans and non-binary inclusive) through creative experiences, community resources and the power of connection. We program creative events onsite, online and around Victoria, have beautiful venues available to hire, QVWC SHOP and offer space to like-minded organisations. We are by women, for women – always. Built in 1848 as the original Melbourne Hospital, the building became the Queen Victoria Hospital in 1946 – one of only three hospitals in the world founded, managed and staffed by women. In 1994, the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre Trust Act 1994 was passed by the Victorian Parliament. In creating the Centre, the State of Victoria dedicated the land and the building to services and facilities for women including health information services, rest and meeting rooms.

You say you are a ‘feminist design store’. What does that mean? 

Our goal for gender equality and our feminist values underpin everything that we do here at QVWC.From the suppliers we work with to the messages we share we strive for all women to be valued, supported and for our stories to be heard.Our feminism is intersectional – There is no equality until we all have equal voices, opportunity and access.

What is a social enterprise? 

Social enterprises are an innovative breed of businesses that exist to create a fairer and more sustainable world.   Social enterprises must do three things: 

  1. Have a defined primary social, cultural or environmental purpose consistent with a public or community benefit, and 
  2. Derive a substantial portion of their income from trade, and 
  3. Invest efforts and resources into their purpose such that public/community benefit outweighs private benefit.

If I buy something at QVWC SHOP, where does the money go? 

Our primary goal is to generate revenue for women entrepreneurs and women-owned small businesses. Makers who stock their work on consignment at QVWC SHOP are paid 60% of the sale price -higher than the traditional 50% wholesale model - with the other 40% used to cover shop expenses such as staffing, packaging, website maintenance etc.  

100% of profits from QVWC SHOP go towards supporting the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre’s creative programming. 

My organisation has social procurement objectives I need to meet. Does purchasing gifts from QVWC SHOP count towards this?

QVWC SHOP is a certified social enterprise with a mission to support gender equality for women & gender diverse folk here in Victoria.
