What inspires your creations, and what visuals or imagery resonate with you in your creative process?

Most of my ideas come from everyday life. My background in landscape architecture inspired me to use miniature people in my earring designs. I like experimenting with new ideas; some work, some don't, but I always enjoy the process of trying something new and creating different designs.

What does success in our shop look like to you as a maker?

It feels amazing to be part of a community with other female makers and small business owners from diverse backgrounds. It gives me a sense of belonging and makes me happy.

What inspires your  creations, and how do you envision them fitting into the ethos of our shop?

Over the years, I've tried many things but always come back to the value of handmade, small-batch production. Being an immigrant in Australia, my brand is a part of me, allowing me to communicate with the world and integrate into a society I wasn't born into. It's a way to support a non-corporate lifestyle, which I really appreciate.

What trends or dynamics do you observe in the market for feminist products?

There's a growing trend towards connection and personalized products. In a market flooded with new items, the importance of handmade products that resonate and connect with customers is increasing.

How do you communicate the messages behind your creations?

My brand emphasizes the value of handmade items by individual creators. It's not just a product; it's a lifestyle and a way to connect. I get inspiration from my daily life and past experiences, aiming to create a connection between my designs, myself, and my customers.

It's a smart and efficient way to update stock and keep makers informed about what items have been sold and what's popular, saving a lot of time on back-and-forth emails."

What have you heard about other makers/artists talking about our shop?

Some of my fans and friends have sent me pictures of the QVWC shop. Its central location and strong online presence have always been highlights.

No challenges at the moment!

What do you find most rewarding about having your feminist products available in our shop?

Switching from consignment to wholesale and seeing my designs sell well makes me feel that all my hard work is worth it. I'm so grateful for that.

In what ways do you think our shop could better support makers like yourself?

Hosting more offline events or workshops could strengthen our sense of community. Encouraging makers to lead these events would be a fantastic way for everyone to participate and connect more deeply.
