My constant search for expansion and knowledge brought me to Australia.
Here, I began to dedicate myself to my true passion: painting. Living in Naarm has broadened my perspective of the world by meeting other artists. It was also the beginning of a process of self-search and empowerment as an artist and as a migrant woman.
Since 2019, my work has been exhibited in different spaces. I had a solo exhibition at Bendigo Bank Carlton in 2021 and a recent solo exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery called “Empowering Women”. I was also a finalist for the SBS Portrait Prize in 2021.
I also was given a grant from Regional Arts Victoria and Creative Victoria called " Sustaining Creative Workers Initiative 2021" to develop my artistic practice. This included two workshops with Melbourne's community and the organisation SisterWorks. This also encouraged me to start a series of new art workshops for adults and children, which is what I'm currently working on.
At the end of 2022, in the Collaboration with Sisterworks, I was selected as a featured artist to wrap the Yarra Tram from January 31, 2023.
