Marianne Duval

Marianne has always loved making things.

Since her early days working at a fabric store,  to studying fashion design and becoming an accessories designer, Marianne's more recent creative passion is ceramics. After a few classes and many youtube tutorials, Marianne took the plunge and bought herself a pottery wheel at the start of lockdown. She now creates a lot of mess and the occasional bit of magic in her home garage in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

When she's not making ceramics, you can find Marianne at QVWC SHOP wearing ALL the hats as our shop retail coordinator. She is passionate about supporting women and non-binary makers and building an inspiring retail experience in Melbourne which provides a space for those stories to be shared and celebrated.

As a young girl, Marianne loved playing shop, and that passion lives on today in her role at the Queen Victoria Women's Centre.

Marianne has built her career in the retail industry across buying, sourcing and product design. Marianne is an advocate for conscious consumerism and sees the value in connecting customers with the person and the story behind the products.
