The Koorie Circle

Laura Thompson is a Gunditjmara woman and the maker behind The Koorie Circle in Northcote, Melbourne on Wurundjeri land. She handcrafts contemporary Aboriginal-inspired jewellery from sustainably sourced timber, each piece celebrating culture, history and identity. Painted and finished by hand, her work is made to be worn with pride. Laura’s daughter, Rose Stewart, a proud Gunditjmara and Taungurung woman, now helps design earrings and manage the family business.
